The Sd. Kfz. 251 was a German half track used during World War 2.
In Saving Private Ryan[]
In the film, it was used by a group of German's who were sent as an advance guard to attack Ramelle first. However they ran into Miller and his men who assisted in killing them when Private James Francis Ryan shot at it twice with a bazooka causing it to malfunction and stop working. Private Toynbe and Corporal Fred Henderson also helped to kill the Germans in the skirmish.
Another one was also seen during the battle of Ramelle. It was used as transport to carry and protect roughly fifteen German troops when hey had gained the advantage during the skirmish. It was later abandoned and destroyed when the Americans arrived. It was destroyed by a P -51 Mustang aeroplane.
